The Man Behind It All
Melvin Badillo is a man shaped by the Caribbean Sea. Born and raised along the coastal waters of Belize, Melvin spent most of his life on the ocean — fishing at dawn, hunting lobster in the hidden corners of the Caribbean, and living by the rhythm of the tides. The sea wasn't just a pastime for him; it was his calling, his classroom, and the foundation of his livelihood.
That deep connection to the water gave Melvin more than memories. It gave him discipline, resourcefulness, and an entrepreneurial drive that carried him far beyond the shoreline. Over the years he built a successful career rooted in hard work and an unshakeable pride in his Belizean roots — the same roots that eventually led him back home.
With the fruits of that journey, Melvin founded M&N Guest House — a place where guests from every corner of the world can experience the warmth, honesty, and spirit that defines Caye Caulker. It is, in every sense, a house built by the sea and filled with heart.
